Hi everyone, Has anyone upgraded the interior bulbs to LED type? Looking to change the dull looking original bulbs. Is there any downfalls in using LEDs for all the interior bulbs?

Do you think a genuine arm would last and clear better? or is it because it’s not designed for our e53 model?
When ordering a genuine item do I just ask for a e70 rear wiper arm and blade- and it will be a direct bolt on?

is this the exact copy of the genuine e70 wiper? Been looking at a genuine item but it’s £50

So can I not just buy the arches off a 4.8is with new clips and replace my normal arches on mine?

Anyone know how to get the photos working? I’m looking for some help in fitting my arches  :(

Would the tuner be plug in and play on my 2002 x5? Would I need new Ariels? Did the digital tv work ok? Sorry for all the newb questions

Hi everyone, looking for some opinions- my X5 has 20’s fitted and I would like to add the extended arches off the 4.8is- has anyone had any experience of the stick on type sold on eBay? Or should I just wait to find a proper set at an afordable price?

Looking for both front towing eye covers (black) also want to fit flared arches. Thanks

ive always bought high milers and if well serviced have never had major probs. if you can do stuff yourself then i find X5 quite easy to work on so far.
ours has 145k on and still drives like a smooth limo to us anyway,  best car i ever bought,   just renewed insurance with Tesco £209 for 12 months,  cant be bad.
I say 6 miles a day is nothing
Enjoy the power >:D

Hi thanks for the reply, that gives me a bit of confidence. I’m like a kid in a sweet shop at the moment finding all the little toys and options that were specs back when new- back then I would of dreamed of a car with 20” wheels and TVs in the seats  :)) so much car for the money! Is there anything I can do to these early models to freshen the look?

Hi everyone, I’ve ended up with a 2002 3.0i x5 after being traded in towards my 335i tourer. It has 125,000 miles with full history (Indy) very nice spec- say nav, tv in the headrests, 20” wheels etc my question is has it still got a few years left in her? will I be able to use it as my daily driver 6 miles a day  O:-) or should I just get rid.. it will be my first X5 and  I’m liking the idea of driving around in it but I’m scared it will go wrong and be worth nothing  :-[

Hi guys, I’m a big bmw fan I’ve had various models from z4 to E46 m3- but after selling my 2006 335i tourer I have had a 2001 e53 x5 3.0i been given as part of the sale. I’m deciding if it’s going to be reliable enough to use everyday  ::) The reason for selling my much loved tourer is to fund my wife’s new car- we have just had our first baby so need her to have a better car  O:-)
Look forward to hearing peoples opinions and advise
