Not for the headlights as you have a D1S fitting, not H7.  Your front fog lights are H11 so no good there either.
Thanks

I bought mine of ebay around 4 years ago, they has the bmw logo and part number on the inside......I think I paid under £20.  Not sure if there real but still look brand new.

I will try and see if I can go back that far on my account

Problems / Re: 2007 E70 Gearbox Selector Noise
« on: March 13, 2018, 06:52:45 PM »
Thank you for your helpful response.

For some obscure reason the problem seems to have resolved itself!

I will get the gearbox service done, although a little worried that opening it up may complicate matters, or begin causing issues, which makes me think of the axiom..

'..if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
Mines done 117k now and touch wood gear box is okay.  Not had the oil changed.....I follow the same rules as u really especially with the gear box oil

One of my headlights has gone orange, looks like it's time to change both.

I do believe they're D1S bulbs?

Anyone recommend and particular makes please.

These have been sat in my drawer unopened until now, bought them for the E93 when one went, but the ABS pump went same week so got my indie to do the bulb at the same time. He didn't get the message that I had left the bulb in the boot, so charged me £70 for a bulb [emoji51][emoji51][emoji51][emoji51]
Can't confirm these are genuine OEM , as they were cheaper than I expected, but your welcome to them, just arrange postage via Hermes and email me a label and I will send them
As I've got shot of our Beemers they are no use to me
Many thanks.

Could you pm me your details so I can arrange everything.

The X5 is often ridiculed for its supposed lacking when it comes to xDrive/AWD ability, however it’s currently snowing like a good’un here and tomorrow I need to venture out. It’s on 20’s with Duellers fitted so not expecting LR levels of grip, but wondered if any other advice/tips to make best progress?

Read and watched some videos of people claiming it’s better in bad conditions to drive with DSC off?

Any thoughts.

Si
I've got 20's on mine with bridgestone duellers too.
I've been out and about with the dtc on and it's bloody good.
The first day I forgot all about it and it struggled up my steep drive, once it was activated it had no issues.
Clever piece of kit me thinks!

Problems / Re: Strange Noise & Rear suspension Problem??
« on: February 19, 2018, 07:49:28 AM »
thats what my local garage said , is it an expensive fix? or is it a DIY job?

Also is it worth replacing the airbags on the rear at the same tieme?

thanks for the advice , i wont be driving until fixed.
Not too sure about the pump but the bags you can diy.

Cost wise I think your probably looking at about £600 for parts only.

I bought my pump of ebay which came from Germany.

Sounds like the pump which inflates the rear air bags.

Mine went a few years ago and sounded similar to your description

You also shouldn't be driving it.

I just got it back this morning.

It went in on Monday and got it back today!

They had some issues when installing the unit apparently.

Most importantly NO CHARGE.  I also asked about the warranty on the new part.
He said the warranty on the new part will be continued from when I first bought the faulty part.

So I got 4 months left, just doesn't seem right.

Not gonna use the bloody thing.

Warranty is 12 months ...
24 months if the part is supplied and fitted by BMW

I put a piece of wood under the hammer otherwise you'll damage the casing.

The cars in today getting a new actuator installed, the last one lasted 20 months.

I asked the service guy why has it gone so early.  He just said it's something internal and we don't open them.

For such an expensive unit you would of thought it'd be made well.

Once the beast is back I think I won't use the handbrake.
