Problems / Tank Ventilation Valve
« on: March 13, 2018, 04:09:23 PM »
Hello guys i've just replaced the ccv in my 02 3.0i i now have error 68 Tank Ventilation Valve error with the EML on i've replaced the valve but still get the error,i have found a plastic pipe under the manifold next to the valve that doesn't seem to attach to anything this pipe has a bend in it and points inwards towards the manifold,on checking the plug that goes onto the valve the plug has only 1 female pin and the valve has 2 males pins, any help would be much appreciated.

Problems / Re: Passenger mirror

All fixed and working fine turns out one of the new gears had a small flaw and was jamming the motor.

As far as I understand it switches the motor off at the end of the fold in/out via that white plastic ring with the grooves in it and if it is even slightly maladjusted the mirror won't fold in or back out. Sometimes if you very lightly touch the mirror in or out then it will work again.
Thanks the strange thing is the motor works fine until i put the housing back on then nothing.

You'll lose water and get a low coolant level warning, the part number4 is for cooling autobox

i had the split expansion tank and had to replace it at the bottom of the expansion tank bracket is where part number 4 sits in and goes up inside the expansion tank and is only used on auto vehicles and beware if you have an auto and have to replace the expansion tank these little thermostats usually break when you remove the old tank.
