Re: Wanted - Intravee
If connecting to an ipod, you need a KCA 420i Alpine interface. You need to remove the multi - changer and use the plugs from that. It's really simple to fit.

Re: A helpful person near BB4!
E53 definitely need the HIGH disc version, just to confirm. You can sometimes pick them up cheaply on ebay - maybe cheaper than drive ng a long way to test one.
Thanks. I'm just not convinced it is all down to the disc as it worked fine when I bought the car. J...

Re: Knocking sound
I think strictly speaking, any mechanical issues should be covered by a dealer within the first six months (they often say 3months warranty but truth is, they are legally responsible for 6months). I don't know if it covers wear and tear items. Obviously, a day or so later can't be deemed as wear and...

A helpful person near BB4!
After previously working, my satnav is acting up(not recognising the disc) and I have checked the disc and it is a copy. I just wondered if there is anyone with a genuine disc near the BB4 postcode who I can pop in the dvd drive so that I can check to see if that is the problem.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Inner tie rod
I've ordered MOOG, they have very good reviews. Getting both sides done and all being well, they will far outlast my ownership of the car. There are some (full assembly) at £10 a side! Thought I'd skip those.

Re: Inner tie rod
Yeah sod it, I'm going to do the inner and outers on both sides. It isn't worth the hassle and expense 12 months down the line.
Are MOOG parts ok?

Re: Inner tie rod
It was an advisory on the last MOT and I can feel some feedback in the steering when I go over sharp bumps, so I want it sorting. I think the parts (inner and outer) work out at approx £30 a side and it'll need aligning after it's replaced, do I'm thinking to get both done in case the other side go...

Inner tie rod
I need to replace an inner tie rod. Should I do both sides and should I do the inners and outers at the same time?

Re: Should i just sell the car and let someone else worry about the problems ?
If you do sell it on, be totally honest. Also, weigh up if what you are likely to lose in reselling is less than the cost to fix. Also, if it is a sensor issue, why not get a used part? Sensors that cost £200 can be picked up for £10. If you can switch them over yourself, or have a helpful friend, t...

Sorry Smee, I did it in a rush.
I can't vouch for it but I can say from experience that the original BMW part is rubbish ☺
