BM Euroservice changed the gearbox oil on my 3.0d twice and never had any problems, go to them.

Not sure how close it is to you, but there's a BMW Indy in Maidstone I've heard good reports about.
Bad news I can't remember their name immediately  :'(

I've got 2006 with 250,000KM, been re-mapped since 80,000KM when I bought it and I get generally 26-28 MPG on the 'school/shopping' run etc, and on a motorway run at 140-150 KMH 37-39 MPG.
Best I've ever had was 43 MPG, but I do occasionally get just over 40 MPG.

Wud it fit/work in E53 pls?

I was  BMWLander, I'll check it out. I'm on M3Cutters too
