Re: Portable SatNav

Just buy the soft. The hardware expense is in most peoples pockets. Android, iPhone etc.

Remember, satnav is only a map with a dot, and none are perfect.

The decisions are made by the driver.

Re: Rear auxilliary power sockets

Thanks for the info n1k85. This one rated at 40AH gets good reviews and testimonies from users starting big engines across the net. It has an inverter but unfortunately does not have the compressor. My battery was new last year so I shouldn't have a problem. I only "nipped in for" a compre...

Re: Rear auxilliary power sockets

Update, returned due to two faults. A problem with the lamp and the compressor would not shut down. I searched the net and there are way too many bad reviews about this model to ignore. Then there is my lack of knowledge, this is supposedly 17aH (this claim is debatable) and we need around double th...

Re: Rear auxilliary power sockets

The one in the link below from Maplins. My compressor packed in and this looked good value.

A bit if an impulse purchase. If I had read the reviews I would have voided this product.

I'll see how it goes.

Re: Steering Wheel Judder under braking

I get the judder the first time I brake. After that everything is fine. May be a warming up thing in my case?

Rear auxilliary power sockets

Hi guys. I have an E53 2004 with two cig lighter type power outlets in the boot. Can anyone tell me if these are permanently live or if they switch off with the ignition. I bought a rechargeable 5in1 compressor/Jump starter and I would like to trickle charge from these sockets when the engine is run...

Re: Tracking x5 order, same question again ;)

I have worked two short spells at Thorne. I was under the impression all BMW's shipped into Immingham docks then moved to Thorne by transporter. I am 100% this was the case with European shipping but I may be wrong with US.

The first two, no problem, Not sure about the third.

Are you looking to illuminate the path on your way from the car?

If so it should already be active.

Key out, flash the high beam should keep pathway lighting on for 40 secs.

Re: Best practice in driving an Auto...

Yes that's the back ground behind it. I come across people in all sorts of cars who just can't resist a bit of engine growl. Younger people with big bore pipes are typical.
