E83 vs F25

Wanting to upgrade. I've got the 3.0d M Sport E83. Liking the F25 2.0d twin turbo. What's your opinion? Is it really as good as the figures suggest. My 3.0d is a beast.

What battery do i need?

Morning guys, I am looking for a battery to replace my existing one. I don't think the one I currently have is the original and 800 cranking amps doesn't seem to start the beast straight away, it takes a couple turns to then start. Someone said I can use the 1000CA? I have the 3.0d MSport. 2006 E83....

Re: Do I lower my E83 X3?

Dans6490, what set up and parts did you use.  Yours look like the MSport.  How did you get around the Camber and how's the ride? I wad simply thinking of a set of progressive springs. I like the look of the original 19" MSPORT alloys so would keep them just change the color.  But the ride and t...

Do I lower my E83 X3?

Morning all. I've been playing with the idea of lowering the X3, but been reading about tyre wear and camber not being able to be adjusted.  Has any one done it before and got it right? Mines is a 3.0d MSport. I'm really just looking to maybe lower 3 inches? I think she sits at 5 currently on standa...

Re: transfer box chain

Dearest Gurus, So I have now shipped my X3 also to Trinidad, where the roads aren't without it's faults  :P I have been thinking to steer away from the run flats I got to normal tyres, and increase too 50 in front and 45 to the rear. Would that be an issue? keeping the ratio the same but increasing ...

Tow bar

Hey all, When I bought the X3, never noticed the tow bar in the boot. It was apparently removed by the previous owner, and I have no need for it. So I have given it to a mate of mines to sell on. If you're interested, email Vance - dookievance@hotmail.com It's just the Tow Bar and connectors, not th...

Re: What mods/upgrades have you done to your X3?

Hey, So only took a couple pics of the Stereo for you, don't have the time to do a few of the car yet. You'll notice that the stereo is quite inset, that's because I chose the Pioneer MVH X560BT. It's mechless, so no CD player. As such the chassis is shorter and BMW housing is a bit deeper from wher...

Re: how much does the battery drain

This is such a shame about the battery drains on the X5s, and how many reported cases there are. Well, to say the least I've still got the problem on the E53. I've read abit and found that most fingers point to the FSR. That's the first step, then with that omitted, it's a case of plugging a reader ...

Re: My new(ish) E83 Issues

OK For updates: I am paranoid by nature when it comes to messing around with an engine as expensive to repair as BMWs, but the trip to Jason at BWChiptune put my mind to rest. Jason is a relaxed fella, and all the reviews on here definitely help put my mind to ease. I didn't opt for huge gains in pe...
