Cheers Wayfarer - I'm a detailing freak so looking forward to giving it a decent going over and coating with a light ceramic to help protect the paint.

Very much looking forward to a return to X5 ownership. Lots of spec, ruby black, reverse cam, pano roo...
Superb write-up buddy. Interesting read for sure. What happened with your crap repair doorcard? I enquired with my parts lady for a pair of rear doorcards for my E53 with the sunblinds built in and she came back with a cost of £1,888.06 each......... :o
Good point - ...

Re: What would you get after a 911?

Were it my money, it would be a 996 C4S.  Absolutely cracking car - wide bodied and looks awesome and I think in the near future the prices of good well looked after examples will be on the up.  25k will get you a top end very low mile mint example. Having had an S5 and driven various 911's I can ho...
Must be non-BMW locks then?  Usually the Dealer's 'master set' gets them off with no issues.  Glad they're sorting it though.  :ok: Richard
Im honestly not sure - I spoke with the technician and he told me their master set costs them over £2k and is made out of h...
After various phone calls the supplying dealer will now collect my car and leave me a replacement while the work is done (booked in for a couple of weeks time). I am not a happy bunny tbh! >:(
That sucks - you'd think if its an approved BMW warranty then any BMW de...

Re: The Hunt, The Purchase and The Ownership Review .... all in extensive detail !

Small update: Took the x5 into Stratstone on Saturday. They carried out the recall work for me but were unable to remove the lockers - even their workshop kit couldnt get them off so its got to go back in in a couple of weeks for two days and they will get a company in to remove them (at their expen...
