Re: Newbie from stoke.

Looks a good clean example. There are after market add on stereos that give you bluetooth and satnav. I fitted one to my previous X3.

Re: Headlight issues take 3

Do any of your headlights adjust with the dial by your light switch?
When you first turn them on do they go up, down and then settle?

Re: Z4 or SLK

Another vote for a Boxster. I bought mine last September on a whim but it really is a great drivers car.
Mine is a 2.7 manual but plenty of fun.

Re: insurance renewal

I have used Adrian Flux for my Corvette for the last 4 years as there quotes have been unbeatable and I like the flex drive option but today I received my renewal and it has gone up 20% and when I called to discuss she said that was the lowest price available. I immediately went online and am consid...

Re: Brown froth in coolant??

That doesn't sound good at all. Did you buy from a dealer if so take it straight back and let hime do a coolant flush.

If bought privately do a flush and hope for the best.

Re: Cracked Rear Spring replacement + what best for towing

On my old X3 2.0d the car dealer fitted Sachs from Eurocarparts as he said they had been less troublesome from his experience.

On my current X3 3.0sd I fitted Lesjofers last week as they seemed a much thicker spring but as said I only fitted them last week.

MOT Fail - Rear Springs

My X3 failed its MOT today for a broken rear drivers spring and headlight aim too low. I have sorted the headlight aim as I forgot when I fitted the angel eyes I was playing with the coding. Now is it me are all garages taking the mick or is there a hard way too change a spring on an X3? I have just...

Re: HELP! Have I blown my turbo !?!?

What mileage is on your car? What is the service history like? Have you checked the hidden computer for temperature? as you say the thermostat was changed but there are 2. And if they used non genuine thermostats they are prone too fail quickly. Check the toilet roll oil separator and if not already...

Re: E83 X3 , 3.0 d EGR Thermostat. ( or not )
A secondary question is whether EGR blanking is a feasible and worthwhile mod on these cars and if its done should the swirl flaps be removed at the same time?
Swirl flaps is a must do for peace of mind. I have a EGR blanking kit but have not fitted it (yet) as I hav...

Re: Replacing the battery
It looks like I will be buying a battery in the next few weeks/months as the battery warning light shows up if listening to the radio with the engine off after only a couple of minutes. Eurocarparts price seems to be £350 before any discounts, but for the same battery fro...

Re: They stole my X5

You have my sympathies, I know how you feel and hope your resolution is not as drawn out as mine was. I now have a Disklok on current X3 as the police and insurance say they are the best devices to put off the chancers but if they really want your car nothing will stop them. Since mine was stolen of...
