X6 F16 Boot Liner

Hi guys,

I have a genuine BMW X6 boot liner (F16), if anyone wants one.
It's virtually unmarked, it came out of my car which has now gone back at the end of lease.

Free to a good home, but collection only from Darlington.

PM me if interested.

Many thanks,
MarkP

Re: Decided to try Dunlops

Thanks for the feedback, interesting to hear other people’s experiences.

I’ll be very impressed if they get near 28k miles - my Pirellis were shot with 10k fewer on them!

Cheers,

Decided to try Dunlops

It was time to get a new set of tyres the other day. The old Pirelli P-Zeros had done 18k in two years and were on the limit. I wanted to stick with star-rated runflats, but fancied something a bit quieter. The Dunlop Sportmaxx GT looked like it would fit the bill. Another plus point was that the  t...

Re: F16 Rattling Tailgate
I took a test drive in a X6 today and the boot creaked, the dealer said this was a known fault and was easily fixed by adjusting the latch.  Not sure if this similar to your experience, but sorted now anyway. Don
Hi Don, I think mine must have developed into a...

Re: F16 Rattling Tailgate
Could have been loose heatshields above the exhaust at the rear?
- possibly, but I don't think so. It did sound like it was the tailgate itself in the frame, although it's difficult to tell. I did have MrsP in the back at one point but she couldn't identify the s...

Re: £1500-£2000 Repair Bill

Research in USA suggested the chain stretched in the areas where the manufacturer had stamped it with make and numbers
- That's weird. I've never known a chain literally "stretch", they normally increase in length due to wear on the rollers/bushes, which "appears" as stretching.

Re: F16 Rattling Tailgate

Well, it went into the dealer yesterday for them to have a look at the rattle. They had it for the day and told MrsP they had taken it apart and refitted it all, but I'm not  clear on what they actually did. Anyway, the result is that they've fixed the rattles/creaks and all is now good. I'm convinc...

Re: LED Door Projector Lights

Thanks for the replies guys. Glen, those look good. I'd had a look at a few on eBay, but I'd struggled to find any that were definitely compatible with the F16. Graeme, because of the compatibility doubt, that was directing me towards the genuine BMW part. The odd thing was, the new spare parts sele...

LED Door Projector Lights

Hi all, I've been looking at swapping my door puddle lights to the type that project a logo onto the floor. There is a choice - genuine BMW or the China option. I thought the BMW option meant a £65 part, with a new LED light unit and a set of logo "slides", but the online BMW retrofitting ...

Re: Dashboards?

The main thing I like about the electronic dash is the extra pictures it shows of junctions etc for the sat nav - it provides more information than the main nav screen, and I find it less distracing than looking towards the screen in the centre of the car. I'm personally not keen on the digital spee...

Re: F16 Rattling Tailgate

Thanks for the tip Graeme.
I'll have a good look at that at the weekend. It's not due to go in to the dealer until the beginning of November, the earliest they could lend me a car.

Thanks,
Mark

F16 Rattling Tailgate

Hi all, I've got a really bad rattle coming from the tailgate of my 10 month old X6. I think it's been getting progressively worse to the point that it now gets on my nerves. It rattles, creaks, groans, all sorts of different noises. My father-in-law commented on it and said his Vitara doesn't do th...

Re: Deezer via Online Entertainment - Anyone used it?

OK, so I had another go at registering at the weekend - and this time it all worked a treat! I entered my existing account details, and the registration process worked fine, so I now have Deezer activated in the car. It works really well, all my playlists and favourite music is there, and it has bee...
