This maybe of help to some people. I have an facelift 04 model, 3.0 Diesel auto It had taking too long to change gear (revving too high) and sometimes jumping when pulling off. Took it to a garage ( i don't usually go to) and they said needed a new auto gearbox they could do this for a bit over £150...

I might try taking the amp out and giving it a go then.

I went to Halfords, as useful as a chocolate teapot!

Did find a good independent who suggested a kenwood smart stereo, looked really goo but cost of fitting with all the bits need ended up coming to £915.00!!!!

Hi, Purchased an X5 few months back and the screen that shows the sat nat is a little burnt out and only having sound from a single speaker. Took it to a local audio shop today and they said they do not repair and the only way to fix it is a new amp and they want £800 plus the cost of a new head uni...

How good is the app and adaptor? - Is it full diagnostic kit? or similar to the cheap OBD readers like torque?

You are indeed right E53!!!! Yes believe full sat nav, has the disk in the boot along with cd changer. Not too bothered about actually getting the sat nav working (although would be nice) I am keen to get the screen working so i can see radio stations etc. (I have proof red before posting this time!).
