Re: Changed the X5 for an X6

I went the same way in 2015 changing my E70 for the F16 and agree with your comments regarding ride and fuel economy, ownership for 3 years and nothing but impressed with the whole package. Have just extended the BMW warranty although apart from a boot lid issue at the begining, nothing has gone wro...

Re: Decided to try Dunlops

Just replaced my tyres (Dunlop SP sports Maxx GT- run flats) after 4 years from new and 28000 miles.  No issues and found them reliable in wet and dry conditions, good handling and grip with excellant tread life.  Tyres were down to 3mm and reasons given is why I have  replaced them with same tyres,...

Re: Winter/All Season Tyre Help Please

Have you considered approaching your BMW dealership for a complete set of winter tyres and alloys. They will also change them over when required plus storage when not in use.  I have always found this the easiest, if not the cheapest solution but would never use my summer  tyres in winter as stoppin...

Re: X6 (F16 2016) tailgate problem

Mine had the same issue some 6 months into ownership, under warranty so dealership had it in and found that water had been seeping into the rear bumper  from the fuel filler area instead of draining away and consequently  caused electrical issues which prevented the tailgate from opening or closing ...

Re: New X6 driver

Welcome and congrats on your purchase of the X6.  Had mine some 10 months now and still enjoy the drive and the improvement of the mpg from my previous X5.

Re: Panoramic roof - how bad is it?

I had no issues with the pan roof on my previous E70 and after 6 months with the X6(no pan roof), I do miss the light which  it allows into the cabin.

Re: Corroded 20" alloy wheels

The same with my 20" Diamond cut alloys.  The dealership authorised 3 replacements last November and having them replaced when changing from winters back to them.  They know there are issues and its probably using high pressure hoses when cleaning the wheels which may well be causing this?  Aft...

Had the same issue with mine on a 300 + mile drive home and as above post, it was the warning notification regarding changing lanes without indicating on motorway. Hit the button!

Re: Cold weather pack & multifunction info display

OK, exchanging the X5 (E70) to the X6 (F16)  the first thing I noticed just how light the steering is. Initially thought BMW had lost it's way with the lack of feel but like most things in life, once you get use to it you will  find it so useful especially when in town or city  as it makes it a bree...

Re: Cold weather pack & multifunction info display

Traded in my X5 (e70) couple of months ago now for the  X6 (f16) which has the cold weather pack and multi functional instrument panel: 1.  Cold weather pack.  Keeps the daughter warm for the early morning school run with the  rear heated seats  but would not be without the heated steering wheel eve...

Just came across this article in the  Motoring section of the Telegraph.  (question No 19)

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/car ... me=2443187

It may answer the issue you have?

Re: Sat Nav Volume

Had the same issue myself some time back. Turn the sat nav on and when you hear  the voice command, at the same time, increase the volume using the volume button on the dash, The manual states you can only increase the volume when it is giving a voice command using this method. ;  Good luck!
