Sorted it, turns out whoevers had it before me has put the fuel pump relay in the wrong socket, I've had to strip the fuse box to pieces and continuity test the pcb inside to find it though, fires first turn of the key now happy days.

Hi all, after rebuilding my 4.4i m62 engine i got to the point of starting it and it doesn't want to go it just turns over, it fires on carb spray then cuts out. That's the sort of thing I mean yes but when I enter my vin there's nothing on the manifold page and the manifold is a different design.

I'm certain there was nothing fitted when I removed the engine which is why I think it must just be sealed with paste

Does the 4.4i have a gasket between the exhaust manifold and downpipe? I can't find one on realoem but I'm surprised bmw rely on a tapered fit to be gas tight.
