Towbar coding

Hi I am soon to pick up my new car a 2015 X5 30d sport f15 and need a Tow bar fitted. I fitted the last one on my e53 myself as the electrics were plug and play but the PF Jones website states the f15 electrics require coding Does anyone know what this involves and how I can get it done if I fit it ...

Re: Lowering the X5... advice needed!

Hi Peter have a look in your boot under your spare wheel and you should have a large black dome shaped thing this is the air suspension tank and pump. If so you just need the links or someone who knows what they are doing with a scanner to re-programme the settings for the rear and springs on the fr...

Re: Torque app on the mobile (finally gave it a try on the X5)

After reading this thread I did a bit of investigation work and have purchased an ELM327 WiFi module and downloaded DashCommand on my ipad and it works brilliantly. I have only tried the basic functions on it sat on my drive but it will calculate 0-60 times standing 1/4 mile and lots of other things...

Re: Gearbox question

I would just live with it if I were you. I have had a software update on mine but it still does it.
I have got into the habit of knocking it into sport when slowing down and then back into drive before I pull away again or just drive in sport all the time.

Re: Lowering

I can honestly say I have not noticed any difference in the ride of my car since lowering it and the rear air works exactly as it odd before When I hitch up my caravan the air in the rear pumps up to the same height as before If anything I think it tows better as the caravan is slightly nose down no...

Re: Lowering kit

I got my front springs off of Shadrack on here so it may be worth asking him what spring they are as they sit nice and the drop is perfect For the rear you need two of these http://airridelowering.com/?page_id=180 If you ring them they will sell you a pair for just the rear I think it was about £60....
