Is castrol the best option, usually I use valcoline or shell helix. Don't want to use wrong one because this rebuild is going to cost me £6k Thats what Ive used the last 10yrs, you have to use LL in BM's.....also 'CASTROL' is on top of the oil filler cap :D I get mine from Opie oils if you register...

That seems to be your problem.....are you using a generic scanner as a BMW designated one will tell you which number injector is bad....but looks like No5.....most of the time its 5 or 6

Sounds like the piezo is on its way out...happended on my X6, kept doing the same as yours is...new injector required Im afraid.

Thats interesting, as it says in my handbook (2012) you need comfort access and if you do have it you can set the mirrors to fold in the idrive.....must have changed on later models???

Only available if you have comfort access fitted...otherwise needs programming as X5sport has mentioned.
