Not the most helpful answer (joke or didn’t understand the question?) but I need to know where the remote receiver is on the car (if fitted) before I go out and buy a remote fob.

Webasto Heater Telestart Remote Reciever Location
Whilst changing my fuel filter I discovered my E70 has the auxiliary heating installed and I’ve used it via the idrive timer but I’ve no idea if I can buy a remote control for it as I’m not sure where the remote receiver is situated on these E70’s??
And help on its location please?

Still happy with it?

Re: Advise on diagnostic software
Carly Lite will only let you check if it will connect to the car it won’t read codes.
I purchased Carly a few years ago in its early stages so I get free updates but new purchases pay a yearly fee I think.

Re: Advise on diagnostic software
I've got Carly and it's ok but I'm in the process of setting up ISTA +D for diagnostics and I've also got ISTA +P for coding but I'll probably not bother with that one as it's a bit in-depth and I might mess things up with it lol!! Plenty of downloads about but I paid a small fee to an Ebay seller w...

Cool, standard sizes then which is good. I know some aftermarket wheels aren't as wide at the rear.
I'll PM you my number for pics.

Re: Looking for an E70 X5.
Did you get one yet, as I am now looking for a similar vehicle and going through the same process of trawling ebay and autotrader with nothing jumping out. The list of options seems vast and not really sure which ones would mean the most to me. Think he has looking at his icon thing. What’s your bu...

Re: Bridgestone or Dunlop
Where are these tyres to start with (Ebay advert) as you’ll need around a 30% discount to get near your £616 if you start from £900 normal price.

Re: Bridgestone or Dunlop
Wow thats a great price at around 150 per tyre but sounds too good to be true?? They should be around 900 quid normally. How do you get the code, is it offered via your Ebay inbox?

Re: Brdgestone or Dunlop
Sorry, yup 20" staggered (177's). You're not worried about the non star rating then? I originally got the other wheels to try and solve an issue that I thought was wheel related (suspension issue in the end) so ran them for around a month with no problems whatsoever and the tyres were cheap Ch...

Re: Brdgestone or Dunlop
Mine had Bridgestone on to start with but had to soon change them because they were already very low but I've now got Runflat Dunlops fitted and very pleased with them, nice looking tyre also. Are we talking 20 inch staggered like mine? but after running a set of budget NON runflats for a short whil...
