Re: Various Sensor Locations Required
Right, well there’s no way the F30 and E70 engines are identical!!
Is the circled sensor the cam sensor?
Would number 13 be the boost sensor?

Re: Various Sensor Locations Required
I had another look at the video. Is it just the air duct that is in a different place on this engine? https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=Krwyk0Viqqg I assume the common rail sensor is still going to be the same and under the foam under the engine cover, but are the boost sensor and camshaf...

Is number 10 the camshaft sensor?

Ideally I’d just like a photo of the engine with the 3 sensors circled

Re: Various Sensor Locations Required
You'll find them on www.realoem.com Cheers, forgot about it. However, none of the above names are coming up when I search! Is the rail pressure sensor something here? https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=ZW42-EUR-07-2012-E70N-BMW-X5_30dX&diagId=13_1281 What else would the boost pressur...

Various Sensor Locations Required
Folks I got a DTUK box for my 2012 30d. I found a YouTube installation guide for a 330d and 530d (same engine) but the orientation appears to be different.
Can anyone show me where the rail pressure, boost pressure and camshaft sensors are on my engine please?!
Thanks in advance!

20” Style 333 E70 Alloys
Folks, having a bit of a wheel clear out and for sale is a set of genuine staggered 333’s from an LCi E70. All are free from any cracks or welds, but the diamond cut faces are badly tarnished. I can do them for £700 refurbished in any colour you’d like, or £850 refurbished in the original diamond cu...

Boot Adjustment
My boot (the upper bit) sits about 4/5mm higher than it should. Is there any way to adjust this? Is there any movement in the hook on the lower tail gate? Or anywhere else?

2 Omega Men’s Watches
There aren’t too many non car part for sale threads, but I can’t see anything in the rules to say they aren’t allowed at the same time! Apologies in advance if I’m breaking the law though, feel free to remove. Just thought there’s no harm sticking them up here too on the off chance anyone would be i...

Re: BMW Insured Warranty - Y/N?
Having had a BMW warranty on my 335i and Audi warranty on my A7 I was keen for a BMW on the E70, however at £1440 I couldn’t justify it. Famous last words I know, but the LCi is fairly reliable and as I was advised the chances of anything too major going are slim. In the end I opted not to bother wi...

Re: The great tyre debate, again
Just picked my car up from having the transfer case clutch repair kit fitted. I removed the winter wheels a few weeks ago and as soon (or soon after, I can’t quite remember) fitting the 20’s I noticed a shuddering or vibration when driving forward / back with the steering turned. This was the first ...

Re: Worn Buttons
To follow up, I took my panel apart a couple of weeks ago and confirmed the buttons could be removed. I bought a replacement panel on eBay for £12 (non camera button) and took them both apart and swapped the pdc and boot release buttons. Thanks Graeme. Yes, delighted with how it looks now.
Aye the tar is a fantastic job, such a difference having a bound surface now instead of the wee stones!
