Hissing Sound from under car

Post by Loperamide » Wed Apr 10, 2019 8:51 am

Hi guys,

Could you tell me what the 'hissing' sound is in the below link. It's coming from under the car.

Thanks.

This is not probably going to help you, but looking at the video it looks like you have oil leak, which might be a good starting point.

Most common " hissing sound is leaking airbags on the rear suspension
Get some diluted fairy liquid in a spray bottle and douse the rear airbags, this will result in bubbles from the offending item
The E70's seem the worst offender.

As seen the video the sound is at the front. Maybe 'hissing' is the wrong term i am using.

Can you not hear the sound in the video? it comes and goes constantly and changes pitch.

I can hear the noise although not clearly. It may be a noisy aux belt tensioner/idler as mine sounded similar.
