Logo puddle lights

Post by sapphireblack » Thu Nov 22, 2018 12:21 pm

I seem to remember reading a similar story somewhere, maybe here?

Received a set of BMW roundel units yesterday but unfortunately they don't fit my car, they're too long by about 5mm. They look to be decent quality albeit the size is wrong.

So, if you car has a 65mm long internal measurement unit, I'm happy to give these away foc including snail mail post. If you want them any other way i would ask you to cover postage charges.

There are two sets, one is still sealed. I'm sure nobody would but dont have them for free just to resell them please, they're not exactly expensive unlike the OEM units.

**Mods, any idea why pictures are being randomly rotated? A tad frustrating :x :x

I had the same issue ! but when measured they are the right length but the shape of the bottom is more square and this makes a difference and makes they near impossible to fit and I wasn't willing to trim the doorcard , I did manage to get a different set to fit which had an x5 logo so must be for an x5 but they were still quite a tight fit !

Like you, i won't enlarge the aperture in the door card, the originals would obviously never re-fit if desired.

My 6er has 'genuine' BMW versions, and with only two doors was still indulgent given they're expensive enough and almost certainly made in China anyway. I'm not likely to buy four for the new car. I'll look for some led replacement bulbs most likely.

I did see genuine ones on ebay but it turns out they were only selling the lens for them not the full unit when you read the description very carefully , I've just left mine with 2 in the front doors too much hassle I mean how hard is it to make them right ? :?

Hi

I previously tried a set from eBay but again they didn't fit.

I did bite the bullet and get the original BMW ones and it was two packs as they come in pairs. Yes it was a tight but fitted straight away and work well. Also you can change the logos as I think there are 4 designs in all.

It may be worth trying Cotswold BMW for a discount.

Graeme
