As for the tyre insurance, I recall when I took it out the insurance the sales guys said they had turned down a claim just as it was so obviuosly a false claim. The nail had apparently been inserted as the tread was low and there had been no wear on the nail.

Unfortuneately do not really get to enjoy the weather during the day (as working), however, making up for it in the evenings with great food and drink which has resulted in 4 hours sleep last night.

Getting towards the 1200 miles run-in mark, so getting to test the X a bit more, and getting to love it more and more, an awesome amount of power :D

Liking the sound of the 40d more and more...

Does it kick much out of the back end when you put your foot down? My friends 30d used to leave a little smoke cloud...

It shouldn't do because of the DPF
Currently :
2012 Audi RS4 (B8)
2012 Porsche Boxster S (981)
2008 Lotus Exige S (a bit modified!)
2015 Nissan Leaf twin turbo with Nitros

I didn't know they had DPF's... How often do they need to be changed or are they self-cleaning? Does it affect preformance?

Can't remember exactly but maybe every 100k-I sold my last car first it was probably cheaper!

I know VAG had quite a few problems with those blocking up after short journeys but not aware that BMW suffered the same fate!

Not really sure i aint seen none, but i've never been behind

Would except the dpf to be self cleaning, got one on the audi not noticed it or had any problems but that still young too, maybe one to watch in later years
