@535dboy, chompers and to some extent acideraser(!), many thanks for the positive feedback!
Is Platinum Bronze the metallic brown colour as per the brochure? I haven't seen a single one in that colour yet. Looks great now, but I'm not sure how brown would be viewed in a few years?
Platinum grey is a great colour, and I'm sure you'll be very happy with it! With me, it has to be blue, like every car I've owned before! In terms of DSB going better with the black plastic, I've actually gone for the M Sport version, but sometimes wonder if the SE spec may have been a better choice for withstanding the likely scrapes being parked on the street... So fingers and toes crossed on that front!

Which blue to go for, or possibly silver ??!

If it is the one in the brochure then the guy at the end of my road has one in that colour

I saw it in flesh in BMW Park lane London. It's quite nice but not sure that black plastic wheel arches go well with it.
decided for platinum grey after all

BMW obviously think it's a great colour - being used for the brochure and official video. I also think it looks cool, for now, but would worry that in a few years the novelty would wear off (how many brown cars do you see on the road?) and that brown will revert to being an almost hated colour. Still, I enjoy the variety from all our different tastes!

That's exactly what dealer told me.
I've also noticed X5, X1 and CRV 2010 models were all presented in brown...

Yep more common than you may think e89 Z4 is also available in a similar colour called Havana and looks very nice with the Pure White design package just posted the Platinum Bronze e70 launch video on your other thread have to say it looks very nice IMO and funnt enough a lighter version of this colour was used to launch the e53 LCi back in late 03.
