Put deposit on E70 4.0d

Just to let u guys know I’ve just left nonreturnable deposit on car. Collect Friday.
The rears were not as low as I thought. They would not budge on the tyres so will need to replace very soon.
It’s 2 owner but only One key. How does that affect future value. Just did On we buy any car didn’t make much diff. Would private sale be difficult??
Anyway done 70k miles 2 owners 20” alloys panoramic roof sat nav. Heated front& rear seats and folding mirrors. Paid £16650 plus admin fee£150 at dealer with 3 month warranty.
Not sure if it’s a good price but they don’t haggle. They have a price promise....

Congrats on the pending new arrival. You can always buy another key from BMW and get any old one removed. I don’t know if people forget they had two keys, or just lose them, but a lot go missing.

I have not (yet) lost a key on any car after more than 40 years of driving, and 12 cars of my own as well as a dozen or so vehicles in the company fleet.

The funny thing is they told me this when I said I would buy the car. I asked him how much it costs to replace he said around£400.
Not sure if I want to pay that much. How can I get one made in case I lose the one key I have( I don’t plan too[emoji3])
The car is 2011 (60) Msport and I will need to buy a warranty with it from warranty direct as Bmw is 2k/year.
I liked the colour it’s Alpine White and wanted a 530d estate in that colour but couldn’t find one. So decided to go for E70.
It’s a lot noiser than my F10 and the turbo kicks in early.. maybe cos it’s a heavy car to get it going. It does pull and the engine suits the car as it heavy.
Drove the F10 back and I will miss it when I sell. Maybe I’ll keep it if I get no good private offers as it’s a sublime car(525d 3.0d straight six version).

Is it me or does this Alloy looked bent a bottom at 5 o’clock .

Hi

I think it looks like the edge is flatter at the 5 o'clock position, could be because of a pothole. Ps The car looks good from the pics.

So it would be sensible for the sake of your safety getting them to have it checked at a local tyre company to make sure it's okay and not damaged or cracked and the wheel runs true.

If okay it could be the wheels were refurbished the edge was machined more to take out any damage when there they were done.

Is electric tailgate standard as mine doesn’t have it. I thought it was from reviews .

Optional up until about 2012 model year I think. The X6 got it as standard but not the X5 until later on.

In terms of a key, yes they are expensive but it has security chips in it and after a number of theft concerns some years back, BMW have tightened control and access to spare keys and codes. You may be able to source a spare.
