BMW X5 E70 recall November 2018

I just found out today that there has been a new recall for the X5 E70 as of November 2018, its been recalled for "screw connector generator" issue, words to that effect and what ever it means!, got mine booked in for the 18th February 2019, oh well better late than never!!

Called local BMW and was directed to log a request online for a booking for any recalls, and will get in touch. :x

The latest recall affecting the X5 (and others) covers models made from Dec 2013 thru June 2016.

It’s for an issue with the EGR - potential fire risk.

Affected VINs are listed below in the DVSA Recall data....

just booked mine in for the 23rd jan, from what I can understand it's got something to do with the power steering, there's a screw that can come loose and damage the belt, that how it was explained to me.

Just checked mine and yep got the recall from yesterday lol nothing in the mail from bmw also it’s on my I series x drive .
Nothing comes up for my E93 yet bmw said there was one outstanding on it in November last year ??
