ive been reading about these differences, but most posts relate to the new 8 speed box, i only have the 6 speed, but have DS mode and sport button.
What are the differences?, do i use both when having a play?
Does it mean i have the dynamic pack etc?

Thanks

It doesn't mean you have the Dynamic Pack, no.

Putting the car in Sport mode with the button also changes how the gearbox responds i.e. it will shift down and hold onto the gears longer. The sport button should also give you better throttle response, but that's about it.

Mine is a 2007 model E70 with the 6 speed gearbox and dynamic pack.

Moving the gear stick to the left puts it ino sport mode - gear changes are held back by 1 gear so acceleration is more lively and fuel consumption increased.

Using the button behind the gear stick marked "sport" stiffens the rear suspension (car fitted with active drive) reducing roll on bends but making the ride more firm. It doesn't alter the gear changing characteristics.

Should have said "adaptive drive", not active drive!
