Tyre pressure

Post by Olliefrom83 » Fri Dec 06, 2019 6:25 pm

Evening

I have got a 2011 30d 7 seater, it has the 19” 223 wheels with star rated tyres
Front is 255/50R19
Rear is 285/45R19

I am getting a bit confused about what tyre pressure I should be using
I only use the 7 seats with kids a couple of times a month
This is the guide on the door shut but not sure if I should be using left side or the right
Any help appreciated

Hi

I think the problem is they are trying to cater for all tyre sizes on the table

From your info then the Fronts tyres are in the Bottom left box, and the pressure depend if 4 top row or 7 people bottom row, then as it the Front axle it's the lefthand column of the two.

For the rears it is the top right box which has the 285/45/19 in, and again depends on 4 top row or 7 people bottom row, and then which axle the tyre is on and as it's the rear it's the Righthand column as per top diagram showing the car and arrows to the axle

Hope that helps
Graeme

Yes my namesake is right. I had the same car as you with the same tyres sizes.

Low loads - 2.1 bar fronts and 2.3 bar rears,

Full loads (including if caravan on the towbar and even if rear - rear seats not used) 2.7 bar fronts and 2.9 rears
