Morning,
so it looks like ive bent a wheel. No big deal but the inner edge flat spot is showing a tiny crack as well.
Wheel repair guy says if he sorts the buckle and welds it, it still wont be great.
no problem, but 227m fronts are hard to come by without buying new.
Anyone got any alternative idea's? Decent aftermarket set?
Anyone know anywhere they would trust to buy a decent used one?
any help appreciated

Wheel advice - 227M
Re: Wheel advice - 227M
Oops. A pothole caused that on our E46 a few years back. No crack so it’s been straightened and is still in use (for now).
Loads on flea bay. Just make sure you get the right version. Ads that say E70 & E71 are wrong. The E71 X6 has a different centre bore than the E70 due to the active rtirque control rear-axle being fitted to the X6. Won’t be cheap (£150+) but much cheaper than new OEM

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

Loads on ebay ask about cracks before you buy but most sellers will tell you anyway. Most need a refurb too.

Evening All.
Have scored a front wheel so will hopefully collect it in the next day or so ( £200 but minto, refurbed with no damage, buckles or cracks etc)
Stupid questions but i'm guessing I can reuse the Tpms from the original? Also, if so should a normal tyre place have what they need to swap everything over? Am guessing there are generic bits that are used to refit tpms into a new wheel?
thanks for your comments to date ( forwarned is forearmed etc)

I would think any tyre place should be able to do the job for you.
