X6M

Post by Beefcake-2001 » Mon Jun 01, 2015 9:45 pm

Hi
I have a 2011 X6 fitted with 21 inch BMW performance wheels. I also have a set of 19 winter wheels and tyres and the original 20 inch wheels that came on the car when I purchased it.
I intend to put these back on and keep the 21inch and the winter set.

I am looking at a 2014 X6M can anyone confirm if the wheels I have on my X6 will fit onto the X6M.

I am sure I remember reading somewhere that the X6M offsets are different.

Thanks for any info.

hi look on vipalloys.co.uk they have  your wheels listed  for the X6M front 10x21 et 40 , rears 11.5x21 et 38 so looks like they will fit no problem !
Are they X5 performance wheels or X6 as you may need a spigot ring in the rears if X5 as the centre bores are different front to back on X6 ? check on the wheels for the part number as X5 wheels fit on the X6 but not the other way round .

Many thanks.
I purchased them from BMW Cardiff and they had stickers on that read X6.

So looks like good news then.if they will go straight on an X6M.

As long as the hub on the M is the same as the standard X6 hubs then there should be no problem. The rear hub on the standard X5 is larger than the X6. I believe this is something to do with a trick diff on the X6 that came from the M division so more than likely the same one is being used on the X6M.

pretty sure X6 , X6M and X5M wheels have the same fitments . The regular X5 wheels are different.

By the way , I've owned my 2014 X6M a few months now and I'd just like to say , do it !!!! It's an epic car and I actually prefer driving it to my 911 turbo !!!

Headers plus stage 2 map gives almost 700bhp  8)
