It has taken Bmw a long time to recall and that’s probably only happened because they were forced to recall .
Many owners have had wrecked engines because the propshaft smashed the engine casing or sump causing catastrophic oil loss .
Some drivers lost control of the vehicle due to oil contaminating the tyres and or road surface .
BMW’s behaviour up to now has been deplorable which is why we have stopped buying new as this was just the final straw of a long list of unacceptable denials .

Which year of X6 does this recall affect? Not had anything regarding a recall and only just seen this now. Mine is a 59 plate 35d.

Mines the same plate/model...nothing as yet...rang my dealer and they said you will get notification if required.

Versions built in late 2010 through to mid-2011 I believe.  I don’t think that it affected the 35d, but my 40d was done.

Mines a late 2012. 1st registered in March 2013
