Snow tyres err?

Post by Jalf » Thu Dec 09, 2010 8:51 pm

I was planning on swapping out my stupid big wheels and tyres for something smaller and more weather appropriate, I ventured out this morning for the first time in this seasons snow and I was pleasantly surprised, the 6 had no trouble in negotiating the white stuff and only struggled when I tried to get it to slide/spin to see how it would react.
Not sure if I'll bother with my 19"s now, 2 tonne sledge my a**e. :D

Last time it will be clean for a while so i took a couple of pics.

Maybe we should hold a diplomatic vote - just between the 2 of us ;)

Jalf, your 6 does look awesome mate! Not sure what it is as I'm not a big fan of the X6! Are those like 22 inch wheels or something? It looks so well proportioned, nothing worse than a chunky car with small wheels. Well photographed as well, good angles.

I can't believe Im going to ask this but can I see a shot of your cars ar*se? I always thought the rear of the X6 was what put me off, but maybe with the right wheels it will look good.

I want one now!

Ha ha, I like it. Looking very Star Wars in that landscape.

Well, it looks good from the back too. I think those wheels really set it off. I like it allot! I think a wheel arch 'should' be filled with wheel! And of course black is the only colour for any X IMO.

not real snow though was it......my X has been wading in 2 ft of the stuff on normal tyres. Only time she got stuck was when I stuck the nose a little too far into a bank of ice on a single track road and had to dig her out. Put DTC on and let the back end loose!
