Finally, after MUCH searching..

Post by Ducklakeview » Sun Jun 10, 2018 1:00 am

I got one!

Did a 375 mile trip this afternoon, there in the trade in, back in the E70..

Bagged myself a 2012 40d Msport 7 seater in Space Grey metallic, complete with a shed load of options, and one owner from new..

Drove it back and fell in love...

Let the modding commence..

Quick fuel stop pic..

So did I and as every litre went in I was wondering when it was going to stop.
I was starting to panic and thought I had done the wrong thing buying it when it headed towards £90 as I came from a Mini and it was £35 to fill it.

That looks great. How many miles on the clock, as it looks brand new?

I also picked up a Space Grey 40d on Friday and it’s fantastic.

What mods have you got planned?

Replaced the front lower trailing arm bushes today, as well as enabling video in motion.. The list of things I want to do is endless..

Hi Mike it’s the same Digidick that had one of you’re Z4 exhausts a couple of months ago.

Can I ask why you replaced the bushes?
I’m not sure mine is quite right up front, seems a little bit skittish over bumps and has a slight steering wobble when sharp braking at motorway speeds.

Keep us posted with your mods please Mike, I like to see other people’s ideas.

So far I’ve painted the chrome window trims black, the exhaust tips revblacked, removed mudflaps, fitted new rear tyres, full alignment and coded stuff with Carly.

Was getting a noticeable noise from them on slow speed manoeuvring and a "shimmy" on braking, replaced the bushes only with MeyleHD without removing the arms. Job took an hour and parts were £43. Massive improvement, and all knocks and movement gone. If they fail again, which I suspect they will, as they under a lot of load, then I'll poly them.
