27th April 2013 - RAF Cosford Meet

Post by Raj » Fri Nov 30, 2012 2:05 pm

Ok, I'll try one last time to get you motley crew together in the Midlands.

I've been in touch with the nice folk at RAF Cosford Air Museum and have provisionally booked Saturday 27th April 2013 at 12pm. Plan would be to spend a bit of time there, peeps can obviously go round the museum (it's free, but parking is now £2.50 for 3 hours), we can get some pics of the X's up with a Hercules they have on display:

then head back into Wolves for some food and drinks, and as Sanj has mentioned it would be good to make a day/evening of it.

Thinking if peeps fancy it then Moseley Park is literally off J2 of the M54 and right next to Premier Inn Wolverhampton North (they use the same car park). Could be good for food/drinks and then stop over.

Would be good to try and get this to work, so lets be having ya (with plenty of notice).

ME410 behind the BMW bugs?  It's not a Mossie (I don't think), but hard to tell with all the guns on there!!  Engine cowlings are 'a bit square' for Brit aircraft.

No promises yet as our little-un is due on 9th Apr (+/- 2 weeks) so I might not get a day pass, or be allowed (medically) to bring HRH and MiniX5Sport..... :P

Hi Richard,

I remembered the arrival of MiniX5Sport was around that sort of time. Hopefully all going well could be a nice outing for the little 'un.

Of course buddy.

If I can't get any real numbers from just here then might post it up on a couple of other forums too but that's only if not enough interest here.

You could make a 'flying' visit with the Bosses chopper....... :pokey:

I mean, it'll need a decent run to get the winter crud out of the engines won't it...... :)
