Yeah we have a Tesla garage in Stockport now (ex Jeep place up near the biscuit factory).  Shame the number of fast charge stations doesn't seem to have moved much from that cited on forums 3 years ago.  There's a regular charging place round the corner from work in Manchester but it's not a rapid charge one.  Nor are there charging points at most golf clubs I frequent so 300 miles on a 'good' charge would probably only take me and lead right foot 200 miles, then it's try and find charging station, and read War and Peace whilst it charges.  No thanks. I'll take the aural delights of a twin turboed V8 gas guzzler instead thanks :-)
I'm probably going to hold out to March and order the Merc.  It'll still be a straight swap for a fully loaded carbon brake, carbon fibre kitted CLS 63 AMG. I understand there's a facelift v shortly too.
I love the Bentley to bits but 18k miles in 18 months is about 3 times what the dealer would be expecting to see on it.

Sorry but going from the Aston Martin and then the Bentley to a CLS seems wrong. I would love to have the dilemma off how to spend £100k on a car and not knowing your must haves list other than the engine it's hard to know what's available to you. As mentioned before, is the Merc S Coupe not an option?  How about the Aston Martin Rapide S? A 2015 model with low mileage can be had for £115k or less?

Another one to consider is the new S8 plus which is in limited supply and would be more of a direct swap for the Bentley. It's got the right level of luxury. Have just ordered wife's new RR sport which will be coming in April (minor mods in late March so worth a few weeks delay to get them) and the residual on her current car is so good that I've got a good 20 saving on my previous estimates which ups my available buying power to S8 or S63 AMG levels. The S merc does seem more like a car you'd buy to chauffeur someone round in and Audi more a Beemer 7 series exec mobile though. I'll have to drive some soon........

Look forward to your thoughts on the various cars once you start ticking them off.  With the misses getting the RRS, do you need/want a four door?  The latest BMW 7 seems to have some amazing technology thrown in these days.

Doh forgot there is an S63 AMG coupe available too. Looks very nice indeed. Made shortlist along with the S8 Plus. Both have savings of around 15% at moment too.

I do like the look of the S63 AMG Coupe. I know what you mean about the 7 Series Cardon thingy!  A lot of hype over not a lot.  I hadn't read any reviews so unaware of its ratings.  Anyway, enjoy the test drives.

As suggested above, I'd go for the BMW M6 GC or maybe even an M5.

Well I opted for the S63 coupe in the end and have just traded that in (after a year and 14k miles of tarmac tearing terrorism) for..........

......... The new E63S edition one. 603bhp, AWD and launch control (plus drift button if I ever find the room) with 0-60 in 3.4 secs. Insane. Should be with me for 1 September just waiting for MBUK to confirm build date. Lots of trick bits on the Edition One like carbon interior, gaudy yellow accents everywhere etc. Limited to 2 special colours so opted for the matte black gangsta version. Planning to keep this one for a couple of years if I can!

Well here I am with the S63 AMG coupe sold back in May and still waiting to take delivery of the E63S. Apparently they are not shipping any over until December or January. I’ve also re-specced away from the Edition 1 so that I now get all the driving safety/collision avoidance gizmos that the S class had. Good job I have the Navara to run round in or I’d be well pissed! Pics (of snow covered car no doubt) to follow in a few months!!

Hi

This is a long wait for a car but should be worth it.

My brother in law recently pick up a new C63S Amg cab with bi-turbo, it sounds awesome when starting up, so I guess your will also sound similar to that.
