You think? I actually thought it looked bigger than I expected.

I really liked some of the press shots, but when I first saw one in the showroom I thought it was awful.

Then a mate got one (space grey damn him - thats what I wanted!), I really warmed to it. I'm still so so on the looks - I think the front end looks a bit odd, but hopefully as with all BMW's It'll grow on me even more. The wheels do make a big difference though - I really dislike any of the other wheels you can get for it.

I was the other way around - hated it in the brochure, but saw one in the flesh and actually liked it.

Boot was a bit too small for the size of the car though I thought.

Definitely agree with that - the boot looks pretty small - in fact my 1er coupe seems to have a bigger boot!

Can see the rear seats needing to be put down quite a bit.

Thanks mate.

Went for the 20d as its the same engine I've got in the 1 coupe and I've been very happy with it. Not drove it in X1 guise yet (I test drove an s18d) but know it will be fine.

And as a comparison against my old X5, it does look small altho not the exact same angle

First impressions are good - the build quality seems better than my last one, and the performance is good. And my god I've missed cruise!!!

The USB/Ipod adpater is in a stupid place though - very annoying (used to be hidden under the armrest in my 1 series)

Sheffield and not flooded, whatever next :D

That looks nice, I like the red leather as well. So - keeping this one for a couple of months until the new X3 comes out? :poke:

:D

I've actually already specc'd one up!

I really like the leather - its called red/brown and is like a reddish tan colour. Was a little unsure it would work but it does.
