Hello,
My car, x5 e53 3.0d 2004, gives me code 4501. Exhaust gas recilcuation. What can i do... the egr is new,

Have you deleted the code and gone for a drive and read again?, at least a good run, not around town...5miles min.

I clear the code and went to 60 miles drive on highway, but the code is still present.

Is the vacuum pipe ok.
Does it suck if you take it off with the engine running.

Have you checked the new EGR needs to be coded to the car?...some things do, like the injectors.....my EGR on my van needed to be....
