Brake warning light

Got a message to change brake pads, changed the front and the message went away but im left with a red warning light above the handbrake light,

Did you fit a new wear sensor.

Front near side and rear off side have a sensor on them that clips on one pad.

Thanks theres a rubber socket clipped to the caliper but nothing plugged in

There should be a cable that clips into the back of one pad (into a recess) and that plugs into that socket. It’s only on one pad on one side.

Once ‘tripped’ it needs a new sensor - about £12 from memory - plugged in to make the warning light go away. I’m puzzled as to how the warning came on if there was no sensor to indicate worn pads unless someone frigged it and that has now fallen out.

Many thanks for the advice, replaced everything and lights still on, did about 30 miles and they've gone out so now seems fine
