TV module unit

Post by X5Premier » Sun Jul 28, 2019 9:08 pm

Hey all - hope you can help.

Just bought an '05 plate and we require a new TV module unit as the screen on the dash isn't working, although the radio and CD still work
It appears that we have the hybrid version - no. on side 6966 615 - and these are pretty rare to find. Does anyone know what the difference is between the modules with alternative numbers on that look exactly the same and would they be compatible ! ! Look forward to hearing from you!

I thought the screen received video signal from 2 sources primary the Nav unit and secondary the TV module (normally a blue screen with restricted menu) so if your screen is not working are you sure it isn't the actual head unit screen that is gone. Assuming there is (a) a Nav computer in place powered up and (b) you have the Digital TV module.

I would be try ing the head unit first

Your video module was superseded by the numbers in the attached....

Or theses.. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part?i ... 5509147139

The last version produced is part number 65509147139 made from 2007 to today.
