Intermittent parking sensor fault and parking camera fault

Post by rickyclean » Fri May 13, 2016 11:56 pm

Hi all

Last weekend my 2007 X5 e70 started having parking sensor issues. When I fire up the car and place it in reverse a warning on the idrive saying parking sensor fail and the sensors don't work. What is doubly weird is it also says the parking camera is faulty though the camera is working on the screen. Any thoughts people?

Thanks in advance!

RC

As no one else has come up with anything yet the only thing I can recommend is to put your ear to each sensor in turn and listen for a clicking noise. The one that isn't clicking is the dodgy one. I've not had any issues with my E70 but it worked to diagnose a problem on my E53.
