Retro fitting folding mirrors

RETRO Fitting electric folding mirrors E70

Hi guys,

I have 2009 X5 E70 with standard mirrors.

I have purchased folding mirrors and the interior switch panel.

So question is...... is everything a straight swap? Connection wise?

Then once fitted do i need it programmed to work?

Thanks

I don't know the difference is between E70 and E53 but I had one manual and one electric which didn't work properly until both were wired up, had to make a loom for one and all the wires that come from the mirror go straight to the switch and seem to get their power of the main power lead that goes to the switch. So as far as I see as long as you have all the wiring from the mirrors to the main switch it should be plug and play. However if the car wasn't originally fitted with electric mirrors it may need activated/coded.
