Passenger Door Wont Open

Post by Skid1963 » Thu Feb 21, 2019 6:01 pm

Hi guys

New to the forum as have just purchased a 2008 X5 E70 M-Sport

I have a problem with the passenger front door not opening, either from outside or inside.
Was fine when i bought the car (private sale)
I noticed when i was messing about with the settings in the computer that autolock was not on so i enabled it, not been able to open the door since.
I tried disabling autolock and numerous presses on the remote but no joy
Is this a common problem???
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Mark

If you think it's the settings then you could disconnect the battery for 30 minutes and let it all reset.

Thanks for replying, i did change the autolock function to off in the settings, i think the actuator is not getting enough of a push to open the lock, managed to open it once on the key but is now stuck locked again
