Hi , this is my first x5 and really getting to grips with it. There appears to be an occasional knock noise from the rear passenger side over rough ground. I've had it checked twice and both garages say the suspension is sound. It's like two pieces of the body occasionally knock. Sorry I can't be more informative .

Weak exhaust rubber mounting ?

hi., I had E70 2009 and I had same problem, I had boot adjusted and then new seal and still it knocked..!! In then end it turned out to be the rear seats where they clicked back into place at the top off seats, it was metal knocking on metal and they put some sort off tape round them and hey presto, never a knock noise again,!! hope its a simple fix like mine was
