Post by ssrfr03 » Wed Dec 02, 2020 3:04 pm

Hi all had my dpf was reading 60% soot and 68g ash I cleaned it out with some type of cleaner which I put into the dpf and the ash is 0.6g ash but the soot levels operate at about 60& then drop to 0 with a regen then go back up at 48% soot at moment is this right or is something not working right car runs fine just had oil filters changed glow plugs and relay 3 years ago and thermostats ,got 143000 miles always long journeys ie just done 800mile from france to Newcastle
It’s a 35d 2009 thanks

If the soot is dropping after a regen then it sounds like it working , a good indicator is if the inside of the tailpipes are clean and stay clean then the dpf is doing its job :D
