Installing a Dension Gateway 5 in a X5

Post by mas123 » Sat Jul 09, 2011 2:02 pm

Hi,

I have a x5 2002 and I am planning on installing a Dension Gateway 5 in a X5. Has any one installed one before and can give me some advise?

Thanks.

Kind regards,

Try putting this in the E53 Section. The E70 is the current X5.

I think the Densions connect via the 2 connectors to the CD multichanger. Dension's don't have a very good reputation in terms of customer support, and the Intravee II may be a better bet. I've got the older ICE>Link Plus which requires an additional loom in the boot and only works with the early ipods. The firmware is at best flaky and sometimes difficult to get back into the right operating mode. It's going to be removed as soon as I can find the de-installation guide. Some of my wiring had to be moved about in order to keep phone audio.

The installations and user guides are all on Densions's website here:
