Goose.
Are they a lot brighter than the original,s.?
Im looking at fitting some in the numbers plate light units, as when i reverse to hook up a trailer at night , the original bulbs are quite dim, and have difficulty seeing the tow hitch in the reversing camera, and im after something a bit brighter...
I see the same company do a 6 led bulb aswell...Its got me thinking...

Theres not alot in it if i'm honest Nine, I just prefer all the lights to match the white LED handle lights..  see filthy car 50/50 piccie below.

If you really need the light at the back, it would prob be best to go the whole LED unit route..  personally I think they are too bright, but then again, Ive never had to tow anything :)

Goose, the link you posted, is that for the bulbs in your car? The reason I ask is that I thought the x5 had the shorter bulbs, not 39mm. Cheers!

Hi, I have recently taken delivery an 8 month old E70 LCI (April 2013 build) and would like to change all the interior lights to LED, including the cargo area. Would you happen to have a list of the different types of LED that should be used in the car..? For example BMW offer a replacement 10 light Led package, 6 of one type and 4 of another...do these have a different wattage or connection ? Any help or advice from anyone would be really appreciated.

Which link, I posted x2 ?!?

The first link is for the Bimmian kit I bought from the US and installed, (the 21 bulb interior kit)...  and the second is the ebay link to the LED number plate bulbs.

I managed to get the interior kit of flee bay for £36....contains 20 bulbs....only ones that don't fit are the rear reading lights as the bulbs are too long.
Overall I'm happy with the result.

Just bringing this thread back to life... Has anybody ordered one of the various LED kits? If so which one, and how does it look?

I've always been very wary of these "upgrades" as it can look a boy racer\halford-ish. However I recently took a punt on one for the S2000 and it looks great, so much brighter for the winter months and looks more modern. Although I deliberately didn't go for the brightest ones.

Oh, I see BMW do a genuine upgrade kit. Probably the safest bet.
