Donations

Post by lezmtaylor » Mon Aug 02, 2010 9:39 am

I have no idea how much it costs to set up a forum, orthe running costs.
So a suggestion from me :
Perhaps a donation of say £10 to help sway the costs, make a more powerfull and better forum.
I have made a donation I consider it a small price to pay for the pleasure and info I get from here.
Anyway it's up to the members if they do or not.

I agree. I have just made a small donation as I offered to help fund any new site.

Donations always appreciated - thanks.

Personally, ( & it's only my view), I don't like the us & them divide on that can exist with premier membership. Some premier members seemingly sneer or ignore non premium folk who may offer a fair ammount to the community but dont have premium membership as they dont spend as much time there asa others.

Additional issues could include managing renewals, possibility of negative comments re v.f.m. re what premium membership actual brings or should bring.

I have been a premium member on sites before myself so my comments not made on back of always opting out myself.

Just my views. I am not dogmatic & my views could perhaps change if I saw real NEEDS & benefits to the majority for such premium membership.

On Boxa net when you donate you get a nice logo under your user name that says site contributor in a different colour, very descreet but shows who's paid and adds subtle peer pressure to active forum users to put their hands in their pockets.

His glasses are special. He told me that the M badge was photoshopped on because the M badge is straight. Missing some nice curves. He's got some technology going on in those glasses, modding again...
