Bye, sort of!

Post by RichM50d » Fri Jul 13, 2018 7:38 pm

Just done a deal on a new G01 X3 M40i. My M50d is depreciating loads each month, and the arrival of the new X5 later in the year is only going to hit second hand values even more. There won’t be any deals on the new M50 for at least a year, by which time mine will have dropped at least another £6-£8k, so the time is right to do the deal now. I’ll keep an eye out for pre reg X5’s once the excitement dies down next year.

I don’t really need the size of the X5 right now, and since watching a load of YT videos on the M40i, I was smitten. I very nearly went with an M3 Competition, but I don’t think my bad back can handle it!

I got a great deal on the X3; it doesn’t have that many options, but comes with loads as standard, so I’m happy to forfeit a couple of luxuries.

So, I’ll have a few bits for sale from my X5, if anyone is interested, such as:

Bimmian LED indicator bulbs - these are plug and play and don’t throw errors.
Genuine BMW black kidney grills - single slat
Travall dog guard
Travall Boot separator
Quilted boot liner

If anyone is interested in any of these parts, drop me a PM, and I’ll do a deal much better than new for you. I’ll sort a proper advert once I’ve worked out prices etc.

Congrats on doing a deal on the new X3 M40i and look forward to the pics in due course.

It will be interesting to see what you think of it in comparison to your previous M50d which has a lot of torque being a diesel.

Yeah yeah! Once I’ve had my back sorted, I may well go down that route. I did consider the new RS4, but they’re daft money, and I’m not an Audi fan, tbh. I wish BMW would do an M3 touring. Now that would be amazing.
