Brake Caliper Painting

Post by Guernsey70 » Mon Jul 30, 2018 9:48 am

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a place to get my calipers painted?  I live near Kingston Upon Thames.

Thanks

I did some research and the only place I found was Nottingham.
As they needed the car for 3 days and I live in SE England was no use to me!
Do it yourself.

I go with DIY as well.  If/when I'm doing mine I usually time it to coincide with having the wheels off for another job - such as swapping winter & summer wheels .  It's not difficult, the hardest part is getting the calipers and their carriers clean enough.

I do mine with heat resist paint, wash off well with brake cleaner, allow to dry, then paint with a brush, will usually require 2 or 3 coats of paint.
Had no trouble with peeling paint.
