Hello all, just had new Pirelli Scorpion STR's fitted all round on an X3 3.0d 2006 manual to replace reasonably worn but legal existing Scorpions. (had about 34,000 mls and 3 1/2 years on originals) The tyre fitter presented me with two broken rear springs! must have happened fairly recently as sailed through the MOT about 6 weeks ago. To my eternal shame I failed to notice this as not used the car very much.
Replacement tyres have been reduced by 2 psi all round as fitter said originals were slightly over inflated. As I left the tyre centre the red run flat light came on....is this because of the new tyres / slight change in pressure, or possibly something to do with the broken springs having been removed?
Back in tomorrow for replacement springs.

Re: red warning light - run flat indicator
New tyres are bigger in circumference so just reset the monitor ans you should be sorted.
