Rear Spring-Favour Please

Post by XK8 » Fri Feb 09, 2018 4:22 pm

Hi, I’ve recently renewed my rear springs on my 2007 3.0sd m-sport. Now,there is huge confusion over springs for this m-sport model. I used Kilen 51039, the parts shop assured me they would be the right fit for my suv. They were easy the source and a good price.
The job was easy (with two jacks) the car look fine, it sits the same as before and rides great. The old springs were pig tail, the replacement normal. The distance to the ground was the same after replacement with the car still raised up and wheel on. It’s the compressed measurement I did not check.
Could someone with a similar car please measure the distance from the underside of the wheel arch to the lowest point on the wheel rim, straight down, mine measures 690mm, I know I should have measured before!!

Btw I have my winter wheels on, 235-50-18. This may result in different results.

Many thanks.
