Jolting/Disengagement from Rear when Turning

Post by garethplant » Sun Aug 11, 2019 11:25 pm

Hi,

I have an 2007 X3 M Sport 2.0d with 92k on the clock. I recently noticed a strange like jolting sensation from the rear when turning. Its mild but you can feel it, almost like something is shifting slightly or becoming disengaged on and off when I turn. I have read up on the notorious tyre issue and my tyres are Dunlop SP 01 star rated. I have no warning lights on or fault codes stored. My mechanic thought it was the transfer case which he subsequently replaced and re-calibrated, however the problem remains. It is very annoying and he is at a loss as to what it might be, Has anyone experienced any similar problems or know what it might be?

Any advice would be appreciated.
