Mobile phone snap in connector. BMW offer a number of specific cradles that replace the oddments tray with a place to plug a phone in. Check RealOEM with the last 7 of your VIN in ‘serial number’ to see if there in one for you - should you so desire. They aren’t cheap and if you change phone, you need a different one. They’re listed under retrofittings or communications sub sections. I’ve not bothered with any of our recent BMWs simply because with a USB cable and Bluetooth, everything works just fine.
